Haven't given an update since November, whoops.

Those who have been members for a year or more may remember the Festival of the Night, which was normally held for a week in June.  If you remember this festival you may have wondered why it wasn't held.  I apologize, but the Festival has been pushed back, we are not cancelling it we are just rescheduling it.
The new date will be announced once preparations are completely in place.

I don't think I ever gave a final update on last year's Serenity Gives Back.  In April we raised over $150 for the Japanese Red Cross to support their earthquake and tsunami relief.  In October we donated another $80 to a Cancer Research Organization.  This second fundraiser was not as big as the first and we hope to have another sale to benefit cancer research.

Serenity now has itself a new Co-Owner, and I would like to congratulate on stepping up to fill this role.  It's a tough job, but I know she can do it.


We are planning new events to take place after the Festival.  I will try to keep the dA here updated, but you can always check out our forums ([link]) or our homepage ([link]).

This is a trial event and may or may not continue in the future, depending on the popularity.

Serenity wants to help challenge and inspire artists to try something different with their art. To do this we will give you a theme to use or draw as well as a "twist" such as having you use a specific color palette, avoid certain colors, work in only grayscale, etc.

Challenge ends: November 30th
Theme: Autumn / Fall (the season)
Twist: You may only use these colors and you must use each color from that palette at least once ([link])

All participants will have their art displayed on the SI website (slider on the homepage) and SI web gallery as well as deltas for participating (amount depends on how many people participate)
